What it's like working with an Interior Designer?

We have a proven seven step process to creating uniquely beautiful interior crafted homes that function to fit our client's daily activities. This process is what makes working with Texturious Designs different than working with other interior designers in the Des Moines metro area.

Our process makes designing a home an enjoyable experience where we listen to our clients' needs and develop a design that is unique to them and that fits their design aesthetic. We guide them on the latest home trends, providing product knowledge, and design expertise on the best layout and solutions for their home.

From new construction design and project management, kitchen refreshes, furniture selections, and styling, to complete whole home transformations, we use our unique process to communicate every step in the journey toward creating the perfect home for our clients.

Let's create the home of your dreams.

1.

Initial Home Assessment

Every full-service project begins with a paid home assessment. We start with a tour of the major priority areas of your home to be updated and discuss the needs and goals for each room. We will then take any photographs or measurements needed to begin your design!

2.

Design

-We get to work!

This is the visionary stage of the project where we design your project, including photo-realistic 3D renders, floor plans, elevations, and make the selections that will bring your design together. This period can take 6-8 weeks on a small project and 12+ weeks if we are working on multiple rooms or a whole house. We will keep you informed of our progress and let you know if there’s anything we need from you.

3.

Presentation

This is the day where we present your complete design plan. This may include an initial conceptual presentation and a secondary, in-person presentation to include materials, memos, paint colors and anything else that your project needs. All decision makers must be present at all presentation meetings.

4.

Follow-Up

Once you’ve had time to review your design, we schedule a meeting with you by phone or in person to receive your feedback on the presentation(s). Also, we will finalize the drawings and any specifications for your contractor/builder at this time.

5.

Purchasing and Receiving

We are ordering all approved items for your installation. All of our vendors and suppliers are working hard to complete your design plan. We contract with a local warehouse to receive your items as they arrive. Each piece is inspected, assembled, and stored until installation day.

6.

Site Visits/Installation

We will schedule site visits to ensure the design plan is being followed and to consult with any skilled trades working on your project. We will coordinate all the furniture, decor, and window treatment installation.

7.

Wrap-Up

After you’ve had a chance to live in your space for a few days, we may do a final walk through. During that meeting we will create a punch list of any items that need to be taken care of. We will handle everything for you as quickly as possible as we can’t wait for you to enjoy your beautiful home for years to come!
